FAQ

I have put together a quick list of frequently asked questions and tips for your convenience. If you have a questions that you don’t see the answer to below please feel free to contact me.

I have a few specialties which include; events, family, and on location fashion shoots. I also focus on shooting in natural light. Not to say I don’t use modifiers, flashes, or other lights but I really try to keep it simple.
Unless a special contract is written all images taken by the photographer belongs to the photographer. Copyright remains with the photographer and your are granted a licence to use the pictures for personal or business use. Also as a professional photographer I require all my clients to sign model releases
It really depends on what type of shoot. The one rule of thumb though is the more people the more shots. How many do I get retouched or edited? This depends on the package selection and whether or not you want to take advantage of my social sneak peeks. If it is an event, fashion, or wedding the number of edits will be marked in the agreement.
I try to have proof disc/galleries ready for pic up or uploaded in a 2 weeks, although it can be longer based on my bookings. If you are taking advantage of the social sneek peeks I will have watermarked edits posted to the fan page and flickr within 48 hrs. Once you have selected your photos for edit depending on the amount and type of editing it can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks
As a general rule you should bring things you like and feel comfortable in but here are few items that I suggest.

  • Some shirts or tops
  • Simple Jewelry
  • Comfortable Shoes
  • A Neutral Outfit

How We Work?

What You Can Expect On a Photo Shoot

We will start with a consultation to clarify what type of shoot and locations you have in mind. We then schedule your photo-shoot with the package that is the best fit for you. A 50% deposit will be required to secure your date*. The balance is due 24hrs before your scheduled shoot. (I accept credit cards, money orders or can invoice you via Paypal)

Photo sessions typically last 1-2 hours depending on the locations of the shoot. Family shoots may take a little longer to cater to little ones. We may do a few posed shots but I find that when I give a little space and let things unfold naturally, is when the most natural and loved photos are produced.

After the session, I will begin proofing your photos. I will take a few of my top pics and post them by the next day on my UpSwideDown Facebook Page. You get an almost immediate sneak peek! Within 1-2 weeks I will have all your proofs ready for you to sort through. You will have 2 weeks* to choose and email me the list of your favorite images that you want professionally edited. Your final photos will be completed and delivered within 2-3 weeks on a disc, along with a print release giving you the freedom to print your photos wherever you like.

BONUS: All raw photos taken, yes…the entire shoot….possibly 100’s of images, will be yours to keep!

FINE PRINT:
1. After 2 weeks*, if your “list of photos to be edited” has not been received, I will have to make a selection of the best photos for editing and those will be the included edits for your purchased package. Additional photos for editing will be extra. (Please understand…..I’m not trying to be mean, just need to stay on schedule.)

2. Every package has a specific number of professional edits included in the price. Extra edits are $25.00 per photo.

3. The 50% deposit paid at booking is non-refundable. You may reschedule your shoot if you cancel more than 48 hrs before your scheduled slot. If you cancel with less than 48hrs notice, you will be charged a $25 fee at re-booking.
